Barbarossafilm produces documentaries, feature films and short films. It was founded by Jörg Kobel in June 2002. Jörg Kobel worked for several broadcast stations and companies, e.g. VOX Cologne, KABEL 1 Munich, Zutafilm Frankfurt, Odeon Film Wiesbaden, Gemini Film Cologne, X-Filme creative pool Berlin and Lichtblick-Cologne. He successfully completed the course on "International Producing" at the "Internationale Filmschule Köln" which has been founded by the Filmstiftung NRW and recently was chosen to take part in the Eurodoc production program 2002-2003.

Barbarossafilm produziert Dokumentarfilme, Spielfilme und Kurzformate. Gegründet wurde Barbarossafilm im Juni 2002 von Jörg Kobel. Jörg Kobel arbeitete zuvor für verschiedene Fernsehsender und Filmproduktionen, wie VOX Fernsehen Köln, KABEL 1 Köln, Zutafilm Frankfurt, Odeon Film Wiesbaden, Gemini Film Köln, X-Filme creative pool Berlin und zuletzt bei Lichtblick Film und Fernsehproduktion Köln. Er hat dieses Jahr den Kurs "International Producing" an der "Internationalen Filmschule Köln" erfolgreich beendet und wurde eingeladen am Eurodoc production programm 2002-2003 teilzunehmen.
